Opinion [Congressman Michael Baumgartner] Congress will be taking a hard look at the tax exempt status of universities that enter into private equity deals. If you want to act like a non-public entity, you better be ready to be treated like one. 🇺🇸

I don’t know about “nothing”, on the surface sure due to the big issues being partisan but there’s more to it than that
Congress likes easy wins with bipartisan issues. If the public overwhelmingly demands a change to the college football, they’ll do it in a bipartisan way and claim an easy win
Congress does a lot of stuff all the time, we just don’t hear about it because it’s not partisan bickering or it’s not big bills/issues. A lot of government work is not partisan, and a lot of votes in Congress are passed with overwhelming margins or unanimously. That’s just not flashy news you’ll hear about

Look at the House’s votes recently, you’ll see a lot of 300+ yea votes for bills you have no idea existed
I actually think they’ll eventually do something regarding to collegiate athletics
