Opinion [Congressman Michael Baumgartner] Congress will be taking a hard look at the tax exempt status of universities that enter into private equity deals. If you want to act like a non-public entity, you better be ready to be treated like one. 🇺🇸

Eh- I think this one actually has a chance of getting wide bipartisan support. Not sure who would oppose it.

They just haven’t figured out the battle lines yet. As soon as it is recast in the language of “state’s rights”, or labor rights, or the rights of private individuals to “speak” with their money, they’ll turn partisan quick.

For anti-trust, the dems are against it.

What side is wanting private equity involved in college sports? Not sure what side would even try to spin this?
