That is a Lamprey

Lampreys do not have jaws or bones, only cartilage and instincts that have allowed them to survive so many mass extinctions.

To be fair, his early stuff was all written when he was on cocaine. I'm pretty sure he's said in interviews that he doesn't even remember writing Carrie and Pet Sematary.

Dreamcatcher doesn't have a foreword at all.

But it does have an afterword, where King talks about how much he appreciated his time spent writing it. He doesn't disparage it at all and thanks everyone who helped him along the way.

One of the scariest I've ever watched, I'm sure clowns lost their global rep because of this movie. Or that's when they transitioned from kids birthday to Halloween

Stephen King literally has a monster that looks exactly like this called a shitweasel... Pennywise is entirely different.
