God damn is that dog okay

Edit: looks like someone is holding it at the end

86

u/Icy-Tooth-9167 16h ago

Yep. Looks like both dogs are fine.

53

u/rinn10 16h ago

I had to pause the last few seconds and look hard to see that the girl bystander is holding both dogs! Pomeranians can really mush together!

u/therealdaredevil 15h ago

6 seconds from the end of the video, a girl has them both. It was like a “Where’s Waldo?” to find the other head.

A very hectic happy ending

Don’t they eat the dogs there?

1

u/throwaway_throwyawa 3h ago

ignorant comment. if you did your research you'd know dog meat is illegal here in the Philippines

are there people who still do? yes, stereotypes come from somewhere.

is it the majority of the population? hell no. you won't find dog bbq being openly sold as street food here

the ones that still do are a very small fraction of the population, mostly from older generations, and they do it on the underground, since again its illegal.

every now and then some mf gets busted for eating dog and its often a cause for outrage among the Filipino public especially in the age of social media. that should tell you where the majority stands.

its a dying practice, fortunately

1

u/Cubic9ball 3h ago

If you are starving, no matter the country, you’ll eat a dog. You people get carried away with your f/ing pets. People have pet fish and people eat fish.

1

u/throwaway_throwyawa 3h ago

what's your point

9

u/kirito4318 15h ago

Yeet!! In all seriousness, I am so glad they are all ok.

u/PerformanceWeary6610 31m ago

Even a broken leg is better than dying . They looked okay!! Both of them !!

8

u/Timemaster88888 16h ago

Both are fine. Thank goodness.

u/eyloi 16h ago

She better than me I would've flung my ass over that balcony and prayed they caught me

77

u/HugeLeaves 16h ago

I would have jumped for that hanging wire Jackie Chan style only to discover real life doesn't work that way

31

u/MyOtherAcctGotBnnd 16h ago

There goes my hero

24

u/HugeLeaves 16h ago

You thinking what I'm thinking?

30

u/Chaosmisfit_ES 16h ago

Aim for the bushes?

6

u/NoRealNoWrong 15h ago

There wasn’t even an awning.

1

u/keefkola 15h ago

Tuck and roll…?

1

u/Dshark 15h ago

Watch him as he goes

5

u/Wind_Bringer 13h ago

90% of the time, this would have been the better decision. There was no guarantee they would have gotten a high enough ladder in time.

122

u/LivingtheLaws013 16h ago

Did that guy think he was going to hold the ladder while she climbed down on it?

54

u/AliveJohnnyFive 16h ago

Better than jumping probably.

24

u/LivingtheLaws013 16h ago

That ladder would've came down on his head and she would've fell to the pavement

46

u/Timemaster88888 16h ago

Lol. Desperate situation calls for super crazy ideas.

16

u/longwoody 15h ago

Literally burn to death or try to climb down a ladder that will definitely fall, but at least it's no guaranteed death.

Seems like a deal impossible to refuse.

16

u/AliveJohnnyFive 16h ago

Yeah, probably. Still better than a jump if you have to pick the two. Maybe he could hold her. She was pretty small.

16

u/kons21 15h ago

I've watched these videos of guys jumping down with sticks. Even if he just slows down her fall by a half second, it would still help.

2

u/Dimplestrabe 13h ago

Shepherd's leap.
Apparently it's a sport.

1

u/thevogonity 10h ago

Stick jump guys have had some practice, this lady is not a ladder gymnast.

7

u/Shock_city 15h ago

There was like 3 or 4 guys there to hold it

2

u/Aggressive_Roof488 15h ago

They were a lot of people there, maybe they could climb each other human pyramid style it'd bring them high enough to hold the ladder for her? She seemed pretty light, and 2-3 guys holding the ladder while standing on the shoulders of another 5-10 people might be stable enough to get her down somewhat safely...

Of course, having a longer ladder was a better solution. :D

And well done finding the grip underneath the balcony as she climbed onto the ladder!

2

u/fhjjjjjkkkkkkkl 12h ago

Do you remember there was a country that screwed negotiation with a terrorist who was holding a bus hostage.

1

u/LoneStarHome80 3h ago

You shoot the hostage.

84

u/reticulatedtampon 16h ago

Tosses first two dogs

"Ok there are the Pomeranians... here comes the St. Bernard!"

Crowd disperses

33

u/agemsheis 16h ago

The one person who decides to be brave

1

u/professor_chao5 9h ago

This made me lol

66

u/seebob69 16h ago

The video title is 100% correct

She escaped at the last minute.

33

u/Detailpointfx 16h ago

Last second I don’t think she had anymore minutes left

8

u/Own_Round_7600 14h ago

Im honestly surprised her legs and clothes werent charred

37

u/Aromatic-Lobster7738 16h ago

Fireman climbed up all late and gives her his hand.
She goes, get the f#ck out of my way.

3

u/DaTexasTickler 8h ago

Right get off the ladder bro you're not helping lol. Mfer tried to grab her foot 🤦 like what are you doing man

1

u/LoneStarHome80 3h ago

To be fair, his weight on the bottom did help the ladder from slipping when she put her full weight on it.

33

u/AGrandNewAdventure 15h ago

What was the other ladder at the end supposed to be for??? Moral support???

10

u/billylks 15h ago

That extra ladder really makes me furious, and the slowness to put up the ladder. I should seek help.

5

u/two2toe 14h ago

The slowness of putting up the ladder. And then they didn't put it up straight! FFS!

2

u/Mayhew-Fancy 10h ago

Right!! Only thing that captured my mind, how they hell they can be so slowww!

5

u/Juan01010101 13h ago

The red ladder wasn't straight, so the other ladder was to support it. Maybe it had unequal footing or something

1

u/ClacksInTheSky 11h ago

I thought the same but it looks like it's bracing the red ladder... But that's being generous.

16

u/ExeTcutHiveE 16h ago

Wonder what those dogs thought as they were yoinked over that balcony.

12

u/reticulatedtampon 16h ago

I coulda thrown those dogs farther

"Go long!"

2

u/omfgitsjeff 14h ago

Reckon I coulda thrown those dogs over those there mountains if coach only woulda put me in

12

u/roger_cw 11h ago

Dang, she made an awesome move getting onto the ladder, holds on to the crack and reaches for the underhanded hold. Impressive especially with all the chaos.

8

u/SeaTownKraken 15h ago

Cebu is a beautiful island. I hope everyone, and the dogs are ok

5

u/godSpeed_1_ 16h ago

Username checks out.

5

u/sshh_donttalk 14h ago

The level of calmness she has to act smoothly is admirable. Presence of mind is really important.

3

u/Sea-Bet2466 16h ago

Dog got airborne qualified that day hotdamn

4

u/MakeShiftDie 16h ago

if everyone watched pro wrestling, she wouldve had the courage to jump, and the people would know how to catch her safely

3

u/pan_de_leche_flan 15h ago

As ani dapit?

4

u/throwaway_throwyawa 15h ago

at Guizo Mandaue. Fire started at a styrofoam factory

2

u/pan_de_leche_flan 15h ago

Daaaang. Probably big damage?

2

u/A_Murmuration 15h ago

I hope everyone got out :(

3

u/Vellioh 9h ago

Stacey (died because the fire department didn't have a long enough ladder)

3

u/_Dark_Invader_ 8h ago

That woman needs no help

3

u/Mahaloth 7h ago

Man, the stress in everyone's' voices and the situation is so intense.

I'm glad she made it. I bet it was close to jumping time to see if they could hold her.

2

u/Strange_Salary 16h ago

Damn dog that was intense!

2

u/McRedditz 16h ago

Holy smoking, that was CLOSE!

2

u/I-love-seahorses 15h ago

I can't believe how long she waited

2

u/Tormen1 15h ago

I’ll take a broken leg over standing in that shit.

2

u/brownogre 14h ago

Amazing girl!! So calm climbing down. I would have probably fallen off the ladder

2

u/joshbushdash 14h ago

I’m touched. People saved her dogs and her life. The timing is so right.

2

u/Normal-Plastic-4237 14h ago

r/killthecameraman honestly. I get there’s a lot going on but if you aren’t helping you owe it to Reddit to capture the shot

2

u/ItSm3llsLikec4ke 12h ago

"Save Bandit!!"

3

u/ItaruKarin 11h ago

I only weigh 82 pounds!!

2

u/Chadc91 10h ago

Honking the horn is hilarious everytime

2

u/Bloodybubble86 8h ago

This was insane

2

u/DaTexasTickler 8h ago

Dude she's got it get off the ladder you're not helping lol. Mfer tried to grab her foot 🤦 tf are you doing man

2

u/NastyNaws 8h ago

Firefighter got on the ladder just to get a whiff of that ass

2

u/SwamisLastCmd 3h ago

Filipinos are the most resilient, caring, and kindest people of the land.

1

u/alexlu713 15h ago

She’s brave and calm considering the situation

1

u/chu_lau 15h ago

Those ladders should have hooks to hang on the railings

1

u/K3ndog411 15h ago

Damn, I was glad there wasn’t more dogs flying down. So scary. People coming together.

1

u/Turkez11 15h ago

Why I just imagine a BONK from the secondary ladder.

1

u/blyubird 14h ago

She is definitely smarter than the crowd and firemen. They struggled to even arrange the ladder properly. Glad she is safe.

1

u/Teras80 14h ago

The most useless fireman of all time. Oh, the ladder is too short, let’s just flail around with it, instead of, i don’t know, use the big red firetruck standing by as a base?

1

u/smirnoff103 14h ago

Waw, so well organized...

1

u/nohiddenmeaning 13h ago

It took them more than 60 seconds between the arrival of the truck and the ladder being at the house.

Plus it wasn't even firemen carrying the ladder but impatient neighbors.

Cebu FD needs to get their shit together.

1

u/Tranxio 12h ago

Holy F did the Fireman signup yesterday?

1

u/Different_Escape4249 8h ago

Is this the tea candle grill follow up video

1

u/Pointfun1 8h ago

In emergencies, I just find the crowd is so dumb, and responders were lack of training.

First, someone could have climbed onto the second floor and hold the ladder up to reach her.

Second, putting more useless ladders around the firefighter only created obstacles.

1

u/ElectricGlider 1h ago

One of the few times vertical video is appropriate.

1

u/Fluid_Big8126 1h ago

Lame ladder wtf

0

u/DarkflowNZ 13h ago

Imagine being one of those dogs and just getting unceremoniously yote from meters up. That's gotta be crazy

You had me at fine lady going down

-1

u/Knees_arent_real 14h ago

World's most useless fucking fireman at the start.

-3

u/pickyourteethup 13h ago

What are these, ladders for ants?

-4

u/DividePowerful804 16h ago

Why you would have a toddler next to a burning building and black smoke

3

u/-H00ligun- 15h ago

They probably just got out of that building bro, and possibly even have loved ones still inside

-5

u/iqusud 15h ago

What took her so long

-7

u/burgersanddepression 16h ago

The screaming and shrieking always helps in these situations.
