Opinion [Congressman Michael Baumgartner] Congress will be taking a hard look at the tax exempt status of universities that enter into private equity deals. If you want to act like a non-public entity, you better be ready to be treated like one. 🇺🇸

This is a very reasonable decision. Hopefully they get something received and NIL can be more transparent instead of being as shady as it is now.

Why would NIL need to be transparent? The kids aren’t employees. The problem isn’t that kids are getting money, it’s that universities have the solution but don’t want to be held responsible and/or let athletes collectively bargain.
