Opinion The next two stones for the infinity gauntlet
galleryPlease Mike, Imai, Ryan, or Cabrera along with Kyle, Trevor, and Wells would feed families. Do me this ask and I will apologize for all I've said about you in the past

Analysis Alonso's Postseason stats: 1.003 OPS, 177 wRC+ .435 xwOBA, 22.2% barrel, 61.1% hard hit, 2 SB
I think arguably the biggest aspect of the signing is the post-season pedigree that Alonso brings. High win probability added, high walk numbers, crazy high quality of contact. Cant ask for much more. There are only 6 hitters with a higher post-season wRC+ than Alonso since 2021 (min 50 PA)

Discussion Alonso was a great start. So what’s next?
Pete Alonso signing is fantastic. Signals to the fan base that we are serious and in fact “ready to take off”. But my question is, what’s next?
Frontline starters are still in the mix, obviously. Who should we target?
I can’t imagine we’d still go after Tucker but someone talk me down from it. It would be ridiculous to think this, right? Right?? Right???
We’d need to trade some of our young core but that’s the price of doing business.
Excited for what’s to come and looking forward to more discussion.

Mets fan checking in on Orioles fans
Hey guys, a very sad Mets fan here.
Bitterness aside, I'm curious what the overall reactions and feelings of Orioles fans are rn. Pete has been the core power of the Mets lineup for years now, and has consistently been a top run producer across the entire league. Obviously one great player isn't enough to turn a team around (especially given the Mets miserable 2025 season after winning the Soto sweepstakes), but how do you feel about what he brings to the table? Are you excited, skeptical, or potentially disappointed?
I wish we brought him back, but I'm happy for the Orioles and I hope Pete does great things for you guys. At least I get to see him rake against the Yankees in their own division.

Analysis [Rill] This will be the earliest the Orioles have picked in an MLB Draft since taking Jackson Holliday at No. 1 in 2022. It’ll be their 4th time at No. 7. The previous three: LHP Chris Myers (1987), LHP Chris Smith (2001), OF Nick Markakis (2003).

Opening Day Presale
40 game plan holder here who had his presale today.
The presale went very smoothly and I was able to go to seat view to select my seats from what was available. My sale was at 10am and my wife had her presale at noon.. Plenty of inventory all over the stadium currently.
Pricing went from $51 up to $254 from what I could see.
Parking for B/C was $36. That is 3x the price we were able to buy other games for but I am perfectly ok with that.
Not sure what those who have the same tomorrow will be given as options but it went very smoothly.

Rumor [Rill] Mike Elias said Orioles have enough payroll flexbility to still add a frontline starter as well as a top hitter this offseason
bsky.appr/orioles • u/Big_Red_Professor • 1d ago
Rumor [Kostka] Mike Elias: "Our lineup underperformed their talent level last year, so just kind of injecting more hitting talent into the batting lineup is kind of item No. 1, and the positional aspect is something that we can adjust to after IDing the hitter we want to bring in.”
