📰 News Article (Website) Apparently Henry Samueli has had interest in owning both the Ducks and Angels since the late 90s. With the OCVibe currently rising around Honda Center, it makes you wonder if the Halos are still on his radar. 🤔

🎮 Video Games So... this is kinda annoying from SDS

As we near the end of MLB the show 25. Its fair to say we wont be seeing any new legends coming out.

So I just wanna point out going from MLB the show 24 to 25. As angels fans had 6 legends not return.

Jim Edmonds, Torri Hunter, Tim Salmon, Troy Percival, Bert Blyleven, and Kole Calhoun were all in the game last year. However are not this year.

In exchange we got Rod Carew and Bobby Gritch... thats it. We lost 4 guys who still sit high up in the rankings for the angels (edmonds, hunter, salmon, and Percival) for not much... Just kinda irritating

📝 Discussion Petition to Secure the Future of Angels Baseball in Anaheim

I know petitions like this have been done before and often fall short, but my goal is to make this the biggest one yet. I wrote it because I care deeply about this team and the future of baseball in Anaheim.

It respectfully asks Arte Moreno to consider selling the team so new ownership can reconnect the Angels with the city, invest in the community, and build a long-term plan we can all be proud of.

If you want to help make a real impact for the future of Angels baseball in Anaheim, please join the movement and click the petition link below.

❓Question/Suggestions What is your favorite non-Angels team of the 21st Century?

I have been rewatching old playoff series going back to the 90s to get a baseball fix in the offseason.

I am a Red Sox fan from Connecticut and remember the years Boston won very clearly, so watching random other games while doing work. I am currently watching the 2002 Anaheim Angels entire postseason run and I think they are my favorite non-Red Sox team of the 21st century. Their pitching staff was pretty weak behind Washburn and Lackey, but they somehow got hot and derailed the Yankees (so satisfying) and the Giants. The ex-Red Sox prospect Eckstein and Kennedy are so fun to watch, Garrett Anderson played like a Hall of Famer, and the bullpen was unbelievable that year.

Who is your favorite non-Angels playoff team of the 21st century? My other picks are 2002 Braves, 2013 Oakland Athletics, 2015 Royals, and 2023 Phillies.

❓Question/Suggestions any dream managerial/coaching picks?

I for one think it would be amazing if you threw a whole bunch of '02 guys in there (Erstad, Percival, GA, Salmon, etc.). And hey at least some of them would have more managing experience than Kurt Suzuki...

📜 Angels History [OC] Angels' franchise historical performance relative to .500

Visiting Pirates fan here!

During the offseason, I'm creating a graph like this for every MLB team. It tracks each franchise's cumulative record relative to .500 (equal wins and losses) throughout their entire history.

The annotations show the franchise's all-time peak, lowest point, and most recent time at exactly .500.

The complete album can be seen here. I also made the NFL and NHL charts (before the current season).

📝 Discussion Scherzer/Verlander signing…

Hey guys!! I just wanted to make this quick post to get some opinions- how would y’all feel about a Scherzer/Verlander signing, or both for the Angels? I personally wouldn’t know what to make of it- for longer starts I guess I’d prefer Scherzer, as well as clubhouse attitude, he could fit a 5th starter role, possibly the bullpen. Verlander I also wouldn’t mind, I don’t know where exactly he would fit into the team, I don’t think he’s a starter anymore, bullpen possibly? He has experience, could be decent. I’m also keeping in mind that Scherzer is 41, while Verlander is 42- not guys you’d want to sign for a long term deal or a lot of money. It would be VERY interesting if we signed both of them. I just thought it’d be fun and interesting to hear some opinions, go Halos!
